If I had the world's attention for ten minutes, I honestly think I will have a hard time getting my message across. I have always been shy, specially in front of a large crowd. I tend to get very nervous when speaking in public. My artistic vision would be through pictures and videos. I would probably use this opportunity to raise awareness of breast cancer. Other beliefs, such as religion, would manifest themselves through my art. I will want this to motivate people to take action, in particular women.
Through photos and videos I would inform the entire world of the causes, effects, and increasing rate of breast cancer in our world. I would speak about this topic because it is something that has affected my family. At the beginning of this year my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. Three weeks afterwards she went through surgery. She experienced several long months of recovery and treatment.
Through videos I can possibly share with the world my mother's own experience. I would hope this would motivate women to have an annual check up. It can happen to anyone and it is very important to be checked. My religious belief would be manifested in this. Through this experience I have become closer to God. However, this is more evident through my mother. Her faith in God became stronger in these past nine months. After being diagnosed she began praying and reading the bible on a daily basis. He has been one of her motivations to continue with her life. Her faith has motivated to battle against this cancer and overcome the challenge that was put in her past. Eveything happens for a reason.
In general all artist say something meaningful in whichever their artistic vision may be. However, not everyone interprets art the same way. In regards to censorship there should be some censorship imposed to artist. Certain art pieces should be directed to certain age groups. The purpose of art is to provide a way for one to be able to express their feelings and thoughts through various forms of arts, whether it is through writing, photography, music, or dance.
